Official FFA Dress Code

The FFA Official Dress is a dress code used for a variety of reasons. Students will be told ahead of time whether or not  the dress code is necessary but you may expect to need it during conferences, conventions, competitions, fairs, and certain meetings. If in need of a jacket please contact our advisors to help you apply for the Gift of Blue Program and you may receive a free one.  

The FFA Official Dress

According to the official FFA Manual the dress code includes the following;

  • An official FFA Jackets zipped up
  • Official FFA Tie or Scarf
  • A white collared blouse or white collared shirt
  • Black slacks with black socks (Boys or Girls)
  • Black dress shoes (Boys)
  • A black skirt with nylons (Girls)
  • Closed heel and toe (Girls)

Things to Note

  • When in California nylons are skin toned however in any other state wear black
  • During fair it is common to wear white pants and boots
  • Garbs of religions may be worn with official dress
  • Personal Protective Equipment may be used in official dress 
  • Firebaugh Highschool’s dress code states “Pants must be worn at the waist.”  and “Shorts, culottes, and skirts must be no shorter than mid-thigh in length ” ​​​​

Our Advice

  • We suggest you pin back hair to keep out of face
  • If you choose to wear makeup keep it neutral, however we do remind you that makeup is not necessary and should be worn by those who wish to wear it
  • If you struggle to find the Official Dress pieces most of it can be found at your local Walmart
  • If you have no articles of clothing regarding the dress code, most garments of official dress can be used from our middle room at school. Please talk with an Ag teacher ahead of time to make sure we can get you the right size.

Remember:

​Students, there will come a time in which you must use your best judgment about quality or lengths of clothing. Please dress in what you feel comfortable, accordingly so.  We implore that while you wear your Jacket you remember you are not only representing yourself but Firebaugh FFA as well.
