Supervised Agricultural Experiences

Most of you may be wondering, what is an SAE? well, an SAE is a project or work that helps a student get involved within agriculture outside of a school schedule.


Ag Placement SAE’s

A placement SAE includes a non-ownership, employment that is agriculturally related. It can be paid, unpaid, or volunteer work. Below are some of the SAE our Advisors have open to students. If interested or if you feel like you are already working on a placement SAE unlisted please contact your advisor.

Agricultural Mechanics

Advisor: Mr. Ortiz

– Work to enhance farming technology and help farmers work more efficiently. Test machine systems, troubleshoot problems, perform repairs and machinery, and maintain equipment to keep productivity high. If you can weld, this could be for you! if you like building and maintaining different things!

Egg Sale

Advisor: Mr. Lieb

ย – Work your skills of entrepreneurship and help collect eggs from chickens for selling purposes. This is great if you do not mind getting dirty or being around chickens!

Almond Orchard

โ€‹– Work to maintain and grow an almond orchid while following agricultural guidelines.ย 

Green House

Advisor: Mrs. Correia

ย – Ever wonder how a seed becomes a plant? Well, we have the project for you! Come work in the greenhouse and grow plants for the school and community. If you have a green thumb or want a green thumb this is the supervised agricultural experience for you!


Livestock SAE’s

Livestock SAE’s is a type of project that requires one to raise an animal. This animal could either before market (sell it/them) or for breeding. This could be different types of animals that Firebaugh FFA offers. Click on one of the following animals to learn more about the pricing!
